Mackenzie Smith is a fine artist from the West Coast of Scotland.
Working principally in the media of oil painting and drawing, the artist graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art.

Each golf course painting begins with a long walk and a sketchbook in hand, followed by repeated visits to the course over a period of days to gather source material worked up in the studio towards a final painting.

As a lifelong golfer, the artist marries an intimate appreciation for the game with his extensive artistic studio practice, to produce poignant and vivid artwork evocative of the true nature of the golf courses and players that he paints.
